Keyur Rokadia has been elected as the New Mayor of Vadodara

Vadodara got its 28th Mayor on Wednesday. Keyur Rokadia is elected as the new Mayor of Vadodara Mahanagar Seva Sadan (VMSS), Nanda Joshi as the Deputy Mayor, and Dr. Hitendra Patel as Chairman of the Standing Committee. After the selection, the supporters, friends, and well-wishers greet the newly elected at the BJP office at Manubhai Tower.

The BJP got a landslide victory in the Vadodara Mahanagar Seva Sadan (VMSS) general election with 69 seats. There was a lot of speculation about who would be chosen as the mayor and chairman of the standing committee in the corporation.

The names of Keyur Rokadia, Parakram Singh Jadeja, Dr. Shital Mistry, Dr. Hitendra Patel were being discussed.

The BJP had selected the 28th Mayor, Deputy Mayor, and Chairman of the standing committee of the corporation in view of the forthcoming assembly elections scheduled in 2022. City BJP President Dr. Vijay Shah announced three important positions by opening a mandate of three names from the state body. BJP leaders including State General Secretary Bhargava Bhatt along with supporters were present on the occasion.

The first meeting was held at Gandhinagar Gruh after the announcement at the BJP office. As per the procedure, 12 names of the Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Standing Committee Chairman, and its members were announced in the meeting.

Keyur Rokadia said that the development will continue unabated by the BJP like the last 25 years. The basic facilities including clean water, roads, street lights, drainage will be given priority. Focus is on for all-round development of the city.
