A few days ago BJP announced the list of its candidates for the upcoming Gujarat Elections 2022. Many people were disappointed because BJP didn’t give tickets to many of them. But many people got the ticket and one of them is the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Bhupendra Patel.
Bhupendra Patel belongs to Bhartiya Janta Party and was announced as Chief Minister of Gujarat in 2021. This time too he is contesting the election from Ghatlodia Seat.
Bhupendra Patel created history when he was chosen as the 17th Chief Minister of Gujarat on 13th September, 2021. On 11 September 2021, Vijay Rupani resigned from the post of Chief Minister of Gujarat. Bhupendra Patel was unanimously elected as the BJP legislative party leader and Chief Minister of Gujarat on 12 September 2021 in the party legislature meeting at Gandhinagar.
Bhupendra Patel born on 15th July,1962 in Ahmedabad is a Diploma in Civil Engineering from Government Polytechnic Ahmedabad. He is a builder apart from being a politician.
Bhupendra Patel was member of Memnagar Nagarpalika for three terms from 1995-96, 1999-2000 and 2004-06. He is also trustee of teo Patidar foundations named Sardar Dham and Vishwa Umiya in Gujarat. He was a chairman of the Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) from 2015 to 2017. He also served as a chairman of the Standing Committee of AMC. He became a member of Gujarat Legislative Assembly for the Ghatlodia constituency after winning the 2017 Gujarat Legislative Assembly elections, running against Shashikant Patel of the Indian National Congress.He won by a record margin of 1,17,000 votes.
His family includes his wife Hetal Patel and has one son named Anuj Patel. Apart from being a politician he is a yoga enthusiast and often practices yoga.
The CM will fill his nomination form on 16th November for Gujarat Assembly Election 2022. He may conduct rallies in Ghatlodia constituency before filling the nominations. Home Minister Amit Shah may remain present during the nomination filling process of Bhupendra Patel.
As our Chief Minister is contesting the election from Ghatlodia constituency, it is a much discussed seat for the election.
Recently Honorable Home Minister Amit Shah announced that if BJP wins with majority Mr. Bhupendra Patel will remain Gujarat Chief Minister (Face of Gujarat).
