Vadodara Mahanagar Seva Sadan has launched a campaign to remove obstructive illegal encroachments in the road. On Tuesday anti-encroachment team removed illegal structures in the Warasia area with the help of JCBs and other types of machinery.
The VMSS has recently launched a campaign to remove encroachments in various parts of the city. There are also arguments between landlords and the teams in some areas during the drive. However, with the help of the police, the anti-encroachment team continued their drive to remove illegal structures.
On Tuesday the team carried out the drive-in TP 5 Final Plot No. 57 in Administrative Ward No. 2 in the eastern zone of the Warsia area of the city. Earlier notices were issued to landlords by the Land Property Branch, but they ignored them and did not remove the illegal structures.
Meanwhile, the team reached the spot today and removed illegal structures with the help of JCB machines and others. The team of land property branch, encroachment, MGVCL, and Police personnel were present during the operation. The team removed as many as five unfinished houses and illegally constructed porches and fencing walls. Locals gathered during the operation and raised protests against the drive but the team continued their operation.
