Law preachers or breakers: Cops become the first to face the fury of newly amended traffic rules.

On 16th Sep’19, Vadodara witnessed large Police squads deployed for checking at almost every junction. Under the new rules, those found breaking the law are to be charged with steep penalties.

On one hand, the citizens stood in long ques to obtain PUC certificates, whereas on the other, the Vadodara Traffic Police geared up to execute the new rules. However, the first day of the newly implemented Act in Vadodara seemed fiercly focused on those who preach the law, that is, the cops.

A total Rs. 22,000 of fine has been collected from 36 motorists at Pratapnagar Police Headquarters, of which 21 were policemen. More so, out of the 6 motorists who were caught breaking the traffic rules, 2 were cops. A total fine of Rs. 2,000 was colleceted by the Akota Police Line from the 6 rule-breakers.
