Every time we plan to take a ride on our two-wheelers late night, there is a menacing fear of the otherwise calm street dogs to turn into a predator and run after our vehicles.
Rameshbhai Parmar, a resident of Chaani, had a similar encounter when a stray canine ran barking after his vehicle and bit him even as he drove his two-wheeler in peace.
An enraged Parmar filed a case against the dog tax collecting Vadodara Municipal Corporation at the Consumer Conflict Forum. In his defense, Parmar stated that VMC stands responsible for his accident and accused them of showing inefficiency despite civilians paying dog tax to sterilize street dogs and eradicate their long-standing problems.
Parmar has demanded compensation for injury and treatment costs from the VMC.
