The Bapod Police Team while patrolling the area on Thursday night, received a piece of information about a white container full of English liquor that was going from Ahmedabad to Surat. The liquor was hidden under biscuits and had to be unloaded at APMC Fruit Market in Vadodara. On the basis of this information, a search was carried out. The container was found parked in a lane behind Jagdish Farsan at the APMC fruit market.
As per information, Bapod Police in Vadodara City raided the Agriculture Produce Market Committee (APMC) Fruit Market and seized bottles of foreign liquor worth INR 2,76,000 with other items worth INR 12.82 lakh from a container filled with biscuits. The team found 552 bottles of IMFL hidden beside the biscuit boxes, mobiles, and containers.
The Police nabbed three accused- Rohitas Jat, Rajkumar Jat, and Rajiv Jat, all belonging from Rajasthan and search is on for Kale from Haryana who sent the liquor and Ramesh from Vadodara who took the delivery.
