Sirajbhai Dabgar, a resident of Fatehgunj and his friend Abbasbhai work as Loan Collection Executive in the IDFC bank for last four years. According to the information received, on Saturday at 11 a.m Siraj and Abbas were called by a borrower, Sunny Memon, who called them to collect the EMI of his car loan in Memon Colony. As they reached the spot, the duo was attacked by Sunny and his associates.
Akash, a friend of Siraj said that Sunny had an EMI of INR 10,000 in arrears of a car loan. Siraj used to call him time to time and as a result, Sunny called them to Memon Colony to collect the outstanding loan amount. When Siraj and his colleague Abbas reached to collect the amount, Sunny and his accomplices attacked with a Gupti (like a weapon) and fled the spot.
Both the Collection Executives were injured in the fatal attack and were brought to Sayaji Hospital in an ambulance, where Siraj’s condition is found to be serious. Panigate Police started an investigation in the matter as soon as it was reported and arrested the mastermind of the attack.
