Lover turned killer after strangling girlfriend and abandoning his son, now arrested

A child named Shivansh was found abandoned near the Swaminarayan Gaushala in Pethapur, Gandhinagar. Shocking details came to light after the child’s father was found. It has been revealed that the child’s father, Sachin Dixit had strangled Shivansh’s mother Mehendi alias Heena. The police have registered a case against Sachin for murdering his girlfriend Mehendi after arresting him for abandoning his child. Police have proposed to shift the body to Sayaji Hospital for postmortem.

A child was found on the night of October 7 near Swaminarayan Gaushala in Pethapur, Gandhinagar. On October 8, the police came to know about it and started searching for his parents and found out that his father Sachin Dixit lives in Sector 26 of Gandhinagar. Speaking to the media, Range IG Abhay Chudasama said that the father was identified by the police on the basis of CCTV footage and human intelligence. As part of the identification, the child’s father, Sachin Dixit, was arrested from Kota last night and brought to Gandhinagar this morning for questioning.

During the interrogation, it was found that Sachin had strangled his girlfriend Heena alias Mehndi at the Darshanam Oasis flat in Vadodara as she insisted Sachin on staying with her. After the murder, Sachin left the child at Swaminarayan Gaushala in Gandhinagar and left for Uttar Pradesh with his wife. He was meanwhile arrested by the police from Kota in Rajasthan.

He further said that he met Hina alias Mehndi while she was working in a showroom in Ahmedabad. The two later fell in love. Then from the year 2019, the two started living together in Darshanam Oasis near Khodiyarnagar Char Rasta in Vadodara. Meanwhile, Mehndi gave birth to Shivansh there in 2020. Apart from this, while Sachin was working at Ozone Overseas in Vadodara, he started living with Mehndi and his son Shivansh.

He lived in Vadodara from Monday to Friday and on weekends came to live in Gandhinagar with his parents and wife Anuradha. Meanwhile, Sachin had spoken to Mehndi about visiting his hometown with his parents two days ago. So Mehndi insisted on staying with him. During the quarrel between the two, Sachin strangled and killed her. He then packed her body in a suitcase and put it in the kitchen and from there took his son Shivansh to Ahmedabad. On his way to Ahmedabad, Shivansh was left near Gaushala in Gandhinagar and Sachin left for his home state of Uttar Pradesh with his wife.

Police took the accused Sachin to the Darshanam Oasis flat at Khodiyarnagar in Vadodara, where the body was found in the decomposed state by the investigating team. After investigation, the police took the accused to Gandhinagar and sent Mehndi’s body to Sayaji Hospital for postmortem.

“We found the decomposed body of the victim from the flat and registered the case after sending the body for postmortem. Further investigation is going on in the matter, ” Said Lakdhirsinh Zala DCP Zone 4.

It may be mentioned here that Sachin has been arrested by the police for abandoning a child. Also, a case of murder has been registered against him at the Bapod Police station in Vadodara. Police have conducted further investigation. Police have also enlisted the help of FSL for forensic investigation.
