During the meeting between Maharaja Sayajirao University and Durham University, discussions were held on various fields such as Science, Social Sciences, Education, and Archaeology. This MOU aims to facilitate collaboration between students, teachers, and researchers from both universities. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Vijaykumar Shrivastava, and Prof. Dhanesh Patel, Director of the Office of International Affairs, represented Maharaja Sayajirao University, while the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Karen O’Brien, and Prof. Tom Moore, Head of the Department of Archaeology, represented Durham University.
The two-day marathon meeting included deliberations on topics like Summer Internship, Semester Exchange Program, Online Certificate Courses, Continuing Professional Development, Seminars, Conferences, Workshops, and more. The meeting explored the possibilities of collaboration in high-performance computing, machine learning, artificial intelligence, data science, business computing, and similar subjects, enabling joint research and advancements in both universities.
Prof. Vijaykumar Shrivastava and Prof. Dhanesh Patel also had discussions with Prof. Karen O’Brien and expressed mutual interest in collaboration in the departments of Social Sciences, Education, and Archaeology. The meeting provided an opportunity to share information on existing academic programs and research initiatives in MSU, and both sides agreed to conduct joint research on topics like Urbanism, Heritage and Climate Change, Political Sociology, and Philosophy, Foreign Policy Analysis, and Public Administration.
