Major operation of Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) before PM Modi’s Gujarat tour

PM Modi is supposed to be in Vadodara for several inaugurations and other programs. He will be addressing a large mass on Leprosy ground. Before this, while the arrangements are being made for his arrival, the Anti-Terrorism Squad of Gujarat has detained more than three people from different places in the state. The ATS action follows suspicions of possible links to a terrorist organization. They have detained Shadab Panwala of Vadodara involved in serial blasts from the Wadi area.

They have also detained a young woman from the Fatehgunj area of Vadodara and one from Godhra. along with a director of a company from Ahmedabad. All electronic gadgets, including mobile laptops, were seized. They have been suspected of being in contact with a terrorist organization through social media. The cyber team is investigating all the social media accounts. After the Nupur Sharma controversy where Islamic countries are showing their rage, a threat letter was received by intelligence agencies from Al-Qaeda of doing suicidal serial blasts in some states of India, all the security agencies are on high alert.
