Man allegedly killed in an elevator accident at Khanderao market

An employee of a three-storeyed RR Fruits shop near Khanderao Market in Vadodara city died in the elevator at the shop. The family members were informed about the incident and they took the body home. However, the police began an investigation on the case.

As per available details, Kanhabhai Bharwad had joined the job 15 days ago at RR Fruit near Khanderao Market. On Saturday afternoon, Rameshbhai, the owner of the fruit shop, was resting in his chair at the counter. An employee named Sanjay was working while Kanhabhai took the fruits to the third floor in the elevator. There was a sudden noise and Sanjay rushed towards it and found Kanha dead after his head got stuck in the elevator.

The shop owner was also stunned to see the incident as there was a lot of blood spread in the area. On the other hand, many people rushed to the shop after the incident was reported to Kanha Bharwad’s family. The incident was reported to the Navapura police, who rushed to the spot. However, before the police arrived, the family members took Kanha’s body for the funeral.

The police team reached the shop and immediately rushed to the house of the deceased and proceedings were undertaken to obtain possession of the body for legal action. Navapura police have registered a case of accidental death, obtained CCTV footage, and are conducting further investigation into the case.
