Minister Yogesh Patel suggests Mayor to build artificial lakes for Ganesh idol immersion

The State Government has issued guidelines on upcoming festivals and in view of that Narmada Minister of State for Development, Yogesh Patel has instructed the Mayor to set up artificial lakes in various areas of Vadodara. He also appealed to the people and organizations to strictly adhere to the guidelines issued by the state government to celebrate the festivals and cooperate.

Minister Yogeshbhai recently had a meeting with the Minister of State for Home Pradipsinh Jadeja to discuss the installation and immersion of Tazias and Ganesh idols in Vadodara city and State.

Javed Bapu, Chirag Sheikh, and other leaders and Muslims presented the matter to Minister of State Yogesh Patel and it was taken up by him in a meeting with the Minister of State for Home Affairs. The home minister then contacted the Police Commissioner and on Tuesday Tazias of different areas were cooled inside Sarasiya and near Sindhrot.

Similarly, the installation and immersion of Ganesha idols were also discussed at the highest level earlier. Following which the State government has taken a decision to relax the night curfew. He thanked the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, and Minister of State for Home Affairs for that.

Yogesh Patel had discussions with Vadodara Municipal Corporation Mayor Keyur Rokadia, MLA Jitu Sukhadia, Manishaben Vakil, and Seemaben Mohile on the installation and immersion of Ganesh idols. Yogesh Patel instructed Mayor Keyur Rokadia to set up an artificial lake or other arrangements for Ganesh immersion.

Minister of State for Narmada Development Yogesh Patel’s presentation at the Cabinet meeting chaired by the Chief Minister to fix the maximum size of Ganesh Pandal to facilitate the celebration of Ganeshotsav has also met with success. The state government had earlier decided that a maximum of 4 feet statue of Ganesha could be installed. At the end of the discussion in the meeting, it has been decided that the size of Ganesh Pandal can be kept 15/20 i.e. maximum of 300 square feet. The Minister of State for Home Affairs has also informed the Vadodara City Police Commissioner about the decision.
