Mobile Veterinary Dispensary (MVD), on its scheduled visit to Vaniyad Channbhoi village in the Sinor taluka in Vadodara, came across a case of a jersey cow, expensive livestock worth Rs. 30 to 40 thousand. The owner of the jersey cow contacted Dr. Himani. On further examination, it was a case of retention of the placenta.
Dr. Himani Ravi and Pilot Rajeshbhai Pagi collaborated on the case and saved the cow’s life.
In the Vadodara district, 17 Mobile Veterinary Dispensaries (MVDs) have been operating in conjunction with GVK EMRI and the Gujarat Animal Husbandry Department and have treated 62,210 animals for free.
The livestock keepers in the Vadodara district, especially Sinor, were blessed by this mobile veterinary clinic. The owner of the Jersey cow expressed gratitude to the team for saving his animal.
Mobile veterinary dispensaries’ veterinary experts have saved the lives of 1,50,768 scheduled animals and emergencies so far. In the emergency, 1,43,742 animals were treated free of charge during the schedule in 10 assigned villages 7,026.
There are a total of 17 mobile veterinary hospitals in Vadodara district including, Nandesari, Sindhrot, Ramnath in Vadodara taluka, Muval and Saraswani in Padra, Kanbha and Karmadi in Karjan, Anandi and Vaniyad in Sinor, Karnali and Simlia in Dabhoi, Amareshwar, and Rajpura in Waghodia, Vemar and Champaner in Savli Valavav, Varsada in Desar Taluka.
