Vadodara-based mountaineer Nisha Kumari is promoting a campaign ‘Aao Banaye Strong India Strong Betiyaan’ with an aim to sensitize young girls and their parents to believe in their dreams and pursue them. She not only believes that girls should be independent and confident but also help others in their time of need.
Nisha Kumari, 28, has scaled Kedarkantha, a mountain peak in the Himalayas of Uttarakhand. She has scaled the mountain peak twice within 24 hours and has made sure that she conveys her strong message in the nearby villages.
“I wish that every girl to be strong and fearless in all situations and move freely in our country. I make sure that sensitize this issue and spread the message wherever I go” stated Nisha Kumari. She also added that during her tour to Uttarakhand, she visited villages of Sakri, Sor, Kot, Taluka in Uttarkashi to spread awareness. She also conducted a sensitization workshop with the forest department for young girls and their parents to raise their voice against any crime or wrongdoings.
She has also started her campaign in Vadodara. She also has planned to start a marathon from Vadodara to Delhi and spread the same message throughout her journey. As a mountaineer, her aim is to scale Mount Everest and Mount Lhotse the fourth highest mountain in the world on the border of Tibet and Nepal.
