NDRF teams are engaged in rescue work in rain-hit areas of Gujarat. They receive specialized training to reach inaccessible terrains to rescue people.
The area is about 35-40 feet deep and has a seasonal waterlogging situation, but due to the surrounding topography, it is quite an attraction. As it’s a confined area, NDRF rescuers carried the boat and OBM on their shoulders to reach the spot and started their operation. The deep divers and other team members were operating by using the SONAR system to trace the drowned person. The operation had to be called off due to darkness and it was resumed again on Friday morning.
It was the strong command presence of the NDRF team, properly trained rescuers with adequate resources and their need-based special ultra-modern equipment which made it easy for them to rush to the site. They are capable of tackling any situation because of their training.
