Vadodara is all set to celebrate Lord Jagannath Yatra on the 4th of July’19.
The festivities have already begun with the Police and Paramilitary forces already in action as they audit, foot patrol and mock drill on the route.
As per rituals, the procession will begin its course with the Mayor Jigishaben Sheth sweeping the start of the route with a golden broom.
The Yatra will start at 2.30 pm from Vadodara’s Railway Station. The auspicious Rath Yatra will pass through city roads, starting from the Railway Station to Kala Ghoda, Santram Temple, Kothi, Raopura, Nyay Mandir, Dandiya Bazaar, Khanderao Market Char Rasta, Rajmahal Road, Patthar Gate, turning to Baroda House, and will end at Polo Ground. The route of the Yatra will be blocked until the Rath passes through.
Moreover, on this prosperous occasion, 27 tonnes of Prasad will be distributed by Iskon Temple on the entire route. Along with that, devotees will be served with Prasad at the Iskon Temple at 5.30 pm on the day of the Yatra.
