Notifications Issued by Administration for Safety Purpose

The Additional District Magistrate of Vadodara has issued an order under Section-37(1) of the Gujarat Police Act-22 of 1951

No Weapons: In order to ensure that there is no breach of peace and public safety and law and order, to maintain a pollution-free environment. No licensed weapons in public places, firing in the air, religious processions, or carrying explosives or weapons in the community. No speech, or gestures that violate the privacy policy. Do not prepare, display or distribute pictures, leaflets, placards, or any other materials or objects.

Not More Than Four People: Not more than four persons are to assemble in the Vadodara city police commissioner’s area under the Gram Panchayat election in Vadodara district till 12 midnight on 20-10-2022. Do not hold meetings or rallies. Obtaining the opinion of the local situation and the police department regarding permission for meetings, processions, or rallies. A political party or candidate may display banners, hoardings, cutouts, posters, etc. within the venue for the period during which the meeting is held only after obtaining the permission of the competent authority. COVID-19 guidelines will have to be followed.

No Traffic Zones: To eradicate the traffic in various police stations of Vadodara district and to solve the problems caused by illegal parking for Padra ST Depot to Govindpura Chowki in Padra Police Station area, from Mahuvad Chowk to Jambusar in Vadu Police Station area, from Muwal Chowk to Padra, From Vadu Chowk to Mahuvad and in Karjan Police Station area from Dhawat Choki to Old Bazar, from Dhawat Choki to Dhawat Village, from SBI Bank to the bridge, an area of ​​50 meters from Karjan ST Depot area is declared as “No Parking Zone”.

Details of Tenancy to be Submitted: The house owners in the Vadodara district are to give details of tenancy in the police station. To avoid the issues like terrorist-anti-social elements threatening public peace and security by taking shelter in industrial areas. As per the notification, reasonable restrictions have been placed on the owners renting out industrial units, houses, tenements, flats, duplexes, shops, godowns, sheds, and plots in industrial areas.  Accordingly, the Additional District Magistrate has issued a Proclamation under Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Act 1973. According to this, the building owners have to give detailed details of the tenancy in the prescribed form at the nearest police station. 

CCTV Installation Urban/Rural: High-definition CCTV cameras for recording the vehicle numbers clearly visible in hotels, guesthouses, Dharamshalas, restaurants, high-rise buildings or petrol pumps, gas filling stations, big temples, and such places in the district and shops, gallas, dhabas, hotels around them for avoiding any anti-social or terrorist activities for better security of the citizens. Also to avoid any activity threatening women’s safety and any illegal acts, like ‘couple boxes’, CCTV cameras will be installed. The CCTV cameras will also be installed on toll plazas to keep a check on the vehicles passing by for the legality and any suspicious activities.

Sim Card Registration: The dealers who sell new sim cards, and new mobile phones have to maintain a fixed register. Legal action will be taken against those who violate the notification.

PATHIK Software: The owner of the hotel, guest house, and inn should keep a computer with internet connectivity at the reception counter of each hotel along with the customer’s register entry and install PATHIK (Program for Analysis of Traveler & Hotel Informatics) software prepared by the police in the hotel to make an entry in the PATHIK software.
