Nursing students join as Nursing Sahayaks in Gotri and SSG Hospital

Nursing students from different colleges joined Gotri Hospital and Sir Sayajirao General Hospital as Sahayaks to assist the doctors and staff in the treatment of COVID patients. OSD Dr. Vinod Rao welcomed all and motivated them to work wholeheartedly as Corona Warriors.

Dr. Rao visited Gotri Hospital and reviewed the situation with all concerned officials. He informed that on Monday 124 nursing students from five nursing colleges joined Gotri Hospital as Nursing Sahayaks. They included 48 from Indu, 34 from Parul, 10 from Royal, 15 from JK College, and 17 from Sumandeep Nursing Colleges. They have started their training today. 

Dr. Rao interacted with the nursing students in the auditorium of Gotri Hospital and welcomed them and motivated them to work wholeheartedly as our Corona Warriors.

Dr. Rao also visited SSG Hospital and reviewed the situation there. On Monday about 95 Nursing Sahayaks joined duty from among Government Nursing College students. Another 30 will join tomorrow. He addressed the Nursing Sahayaks and welcomed them into the COVID Army. He said the shortage of nursing manpower has been solved after the nursing students joined duty.

He informed that, against the capacity of 575 beds, only 331 beds are occupied. The remaining 244 beds are vacant as of today. As against 100 high-end advanced ventilators available, 54 are occupied and 46 are vacant.
