On the basis of Drone, Whatsapp and CCTV, till now 84 booked for lockdown violation.

To fight with Corona Pandemic, the complete lockdown of the country was announced by PM Narendra Modi. To ensure the implementation of lockdown, Vadodara Police is deployed at every major road of the city. They are working round the clock in different shifts but for internal roads, it was not possible to deploy police everywhere.

So Vadodara Crime Branch released a Whatsapp number 8866221965 for people to send pictures of people around them violating the lockdown rules. “For aerial surveillance, we have started flying drone cameras in different areas to find people roaming in groups without any reason” said DCP Crime Jaydeepsinh Jadeja

A CCTV network is also used to capture images of people venturing out on roads or sitting in groups in the society.
