Only 10% of total figures of COVID-19 are declared, corporator files RTI

Since the last few days, Vadodara Congress have alleged that a less number of figures are being released by the VMC at a time when the number of positive patients in the city are increasing day by day. Corporator Chirag Zaveri said antigen tests are being conducted in the city at 34 health centers, 34 Dhanvantari Raths, government hospitals and private laboratories.
But the statistics presented daily by the municipality does not reveal the true figures. As per Chirag Zaveri there are an estimated 800 to 900 new positive patients added everyday, but only 130 per day, are reported by the municipality. He has also done RTI on the number of corona positive patients reported and the number of laboratory test reports. He accused private hospital administrators of using the corona crises commercially out of fear and charging patients more than a certain price.
