Parents object to offline examinations in Vadodara

Parents of students studying in Rosary School today went to the office of the District Education Officer to protest against the announcement of giving the first-semester examination offline, at school.

In the midst of the Corona epidemic, the first-semester examination of students studying at the Rosary School in the Fatehganj area will be held from March 15th. The parents had informed the authorities to take the examination online. But after not getting a proper reply from the school authorities, the parents reached the District Education Officer’s office in Karelibagh today and shouted slogans and demanded online exams.

They said that they are in favor of online exams and object to the offline schedule given to them. Parents said that when the reports of students studying in other schools in Vadodara have tested positive, the examinations of students up to Class XII should be held online, and if the examinations are held offline, they will not send their children for examinations.

Kishore Parmar, education inspector of the district education officer’s office said that misunderstandings have arisen as the school authorities are unaware of the examination rules. After an immediate telephone conversation, the school authorities have been informed that the examination of children up to standard five is to be held online.
As the schools of children from 5th standard to 12th standard have started as per the norms, the parents who have given consent letters have been asked to plan offline examination of their children at the school.
