Hospital and healthcare workers have been going out of their way to meet the medical needs of COVID patients. Parul Sevashram Hospital’s Dr. Krupa Vaghela and Mrs. Ekta Modi are two examples of such key contributors in health administration, whose selfless commitment and dedication have ensured the wellness of numerous patients both citywide and statewide. The efficient allocation of medical resources has been one of the most challenging issues across the healthcare sector, however, Parul Sevashram Hospital has managed to strategically navigate through these challenges by successfully catering to the wellness of over 3000 patients till now and continues to treat more than 300 patients every day.
Dr. Krupa Vaghela has been serving the healthcare needs of the patients as Parul Sevashram Hospital’s medical administrator. At the peak of this pandemic crisis, she has been looking after the healthcare of the patients, while at the same time supporting the doctors, nurses, and other medical staff. During her service, both her parents suffered from COVID-19, resulting in the unfortunate loss of her father. However, despite facing such a heavy challenge, Dr. Krupa continued serving the healthcare needs of the many affected patients at Parul Sevashram Hospital, without taking a single day off. Her selfless nature and dedication to serving others are what India needs to emerge victorious over the tragic impacts of this pandemic.
The challenges and adversities caused by this virus, have been leaving behind a trail of disruptions not only in the physical health of the people but also in the family fabric. However, regardless of these many challenges, numerous healthcare workers have been putting the lives of their patients before their own. Such a commitment and sacrifice have also been made evident in the work and efforts of Mrs. Ekta Modi, the Chief Operating Officer of Parul Sevashram Hospital. In such pressing pandemic times, Mrs. Ekta has been playing the pivotal role of ensuring the efficiency of the hospital’s medical services. Through her continuous contribution 24*7, the hospital has managed to establish an adequate supply of medical resources to the healthcare staff, while at the same attending to the personalized needs of every patient. Mrs. Ekta, at the height of this second wave, also lost her aunt to COVID-19, and regardless of going through such a loss, she remained committed to meeting the needs of the numerous patients under the care of Parul Sevashram Hospital. ” We are not only facing the challenges we are witnessing today as individuals, but we are also facing them as a community and as a nation. I believe in such a time, we all need to come together and do everything within our capacity to serve the needs of our patients”, said Mrs. Ekta.
Through the contribution of such dedicated medical staff with the support of the Hospital’s management, Parul Sevashram Hospital has been able to establish a total of 580 COVID-19 beds, with 200 of them being offered free of charge to underprivileged patients. “In these challenging times, as Parul Sevashram Hospital, we have been making every effort necessary to meet the current healthcare crisis with the urgency and efficiency it demands. This has only been possible through the commitment and dedication of our administrators, doctors, nurses, paramedics, and other supporting staff who have been selflessly serving the healthcare needs of the COVID-19 patients,” said Dr. Geetika Madan Patel, the Hospital’s Medical Director. “Our entire team is working day and night with just one common motive to save as many lives as possible, with such strong and motivated Covid warriors, we shall be able to come out of the difficult pandemic situation soon”, she added.
