Darshan Chandan: BhookMitaoo Campaign

A 31 year old, Vadodara-based Darshan Chandan changed life’s of 1200 children. Once visiting a restaurant in Vadodara he had a disappointing meal. On receiving an apology, he asked the restaurant to feed some poor children. On seeing the smiles on the faces of those kids, this gave a birth to the BhookMitaoo Campaign on 7th June 2015. Darshan and his friends went to feed couple children in slums of Vadodara, and today they provide meals to as many as 1200 children in Vadodara. A movement that started off with just a couple of youngsters now has a volunteer base of people of all ages and from all walks of life.

 

 

Prabha Mehta: Disha Charitable Trust

Founder & President, Disha Charitable Trust, Vadodara. Disha Charitable Trust was found in June 1999 and has completed 18 successful years. This trust provides a wide range of need based services to children with Autism, Downs Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and Multiple Disabilities. She runs one of the best school and therapy center for children with Autism, by providing free services to children with special needs and their families living below poverty line under Disha’s Community Based Rehabilitation Program (CBR). By doing they have spread hope and life to thousands of families in need.

 

 

Rushab Gandhi: Handmade Hope

An entrepreneur and founder of Handmade Hope, which is a well conducive, formulated, set up that helps people to achieve economic independence. Handmade Hope is a platform for self sustainable employment generation. They make amazingly beautiful handcrafted products like paper bags, notebooks, notepads and candles. The eureka moment for him was when he met Rahul, and orphanage, who is a creative young spirit and a great artist who fell prey to child labour. ‘Handmade Hope’ was born in 2008, and initially it sold 5000 greeting cards in a span of 2 months. There were hurdles in his way of success, but he overcame them with his workable solutions.

Apart from being the founder of Handmade Hope, he is the Chief operating officer at The Blue Bird Foundation and founder of Vadodara Causes.

 

Prinkit Patel: Change Vadodara Campaign

Founder of Change Vadodara Campaign, which is a Non Government Organization, which works for providing education and food to Vadodara’s slum area children. When Prinkit saw the leftover food thrown outside the wedding hall which he visited the previous night, made him realize the importance of food in life. He started providing food to these children in the slum areas. And this is gave birth to CVC in the year 2015. The organization started with few volunteers and currently they are 670 volunteers. The volunteers are students studying in college of Vadodara.  Their basic aim is to provide food, education and teach them basic hygiene.

 

Juin Dutta: Srotoshwini Organization

Founder of Srotoshwini organization lived two decades in Vadodara, started an initiative to teach over more than 100 children of slum areas by starting a chain of mobile schools for the unprivileged children by issuing books and organizing sophisticated hobbies and activities. She took steps which can motivate and change the lives of other people, by raising and providing finance to cancer victims, creating an innovative method to deal with the plastic waste all around, by which her name even shines today with all the pride, which strengthens humanity and makes it one of the admirable organizations in India.

 

Swati Bedekar: Vatsalya Foundation

People in this city are not only suffering from the sanitation issues in general, but also the unhygienic issues in the conditions pertaining to the menstrual cycle of women in India. For tackling with such situations and coming up with the new incentives of creating not only healthy environment but to improve the lives at certain rural regions, Swati Bedekar came up with the project of Vatsalya Foundation which is gradually growing by receiving constant support from people she even provided educational services to children so that the dropout rates diminish leading to more development, hence making it one of the praiseworthy trusts of India.

 

 

Pratibha Foundation:

A group of five people, Ghanshyam Suryavanshi, Richa Mehta, Prajvi, Sachin and Dipen, commenced a voluntary non- profit organization for upbringing the living conditions of under- privileged children and believed that education for the children of today’s generation is a must for the sustenance of their lives. They ought to transform such helpless children into a strong personality and become winners of their own life. They fill up the hope and faith into those souls by helping them realizing their talent, knowledge and skills.

 

Nishita Rajput:

A girl from our city who studied at M.S. University, took an initiative to ensure that girl students from poor background do not go without educating themselves due to financial crisis to pay their fees. Nishita started collecting Rs. 1,000/- cheque from donors in the name of school. She receives deposits from NRI’s and corporate houses. Her father Gulab Rajput, has supported her by giving school bags and other material to children of casual workers through trust Hoonf.
