Minister of State for Home Affairs Pradipsinh Jadeja inaugurated the counseling and training center of the She team of Vadodara Police for women, following the motto “Women with Women” at Police Bhavan. The inauguration was held in the presence of Yogesh Patel, Minister of State for Narmada Development.
Police Commissioner, Dr. Shamsher Singh welcomed the Home Minister and the guests.
Unveiling the logo of Vadodara City Police’s She Team, Pradipsinh Jadeja unveiled the logo of Vadodara City Police’s She Team said that four new police stations would be set up in Vadodara strengthening the law and order in the city. Out of them one at Kubharwada and the other three separate police stations will be set up at Akota, Atladara, and Kapurai. Besides, the city of Vadodara has been provided with 33 Bolero Jeeps, 52 motorcycles and other required equipment has been allotted at a cost of Rs 2.78 crore. As many as 1,184 CCTV cameras have been installed in Vadodara city under the Smart City project. Besides the installation of 171 CCTV cameras are going on in the city. “Under the Vishwas project, 650 new CCTV cameras will be installed in Vadodara city,” added Jadeja.
Praising the work of the She Team in Vadodara city, Pradipsinh Jadeja said that besides serving women, children, and senior citizens, the team also helped a lot of people during the second wave of Corona. This model project of the Vadodara city police will be implemented in other city districts of the state after discussion.
Expressing the feeling that the state government has made comprehensive arrangements for the protection of women, Yogesh Patel, Minister of State for Narmada Development, said that educating girls increases their awareness of women’s rights. He described the performance of the team as exemplary and expressed the feeling that the facilities for it would enhance efficiency.
MLA’s Jitu Sukhadia, Manisha Vakil, Seema Mohile, Shailesh Mehta, Mayor of Vadodara Municipal Corporation Keyur Rokadia, office bearers, Police officials including Chirag Kotdia and Dr. Karan Raj Vaghela, Representatives of L&T, which collaborated for the formation of this Cat Center under CSR, were present on this occasion.
Pradipsinh Jadeja held a crime review meeting with City Police Commissioner, Range IG, and SP to review in detail the steps taken to curb crime, reduce it and achieve success. He was accompanied by Narmada Development Minister Yogesh Patel, MLA’s Jitu Sukhadia, Seema Mohile, Manisha Vakil, Shailesh Mehta and gave instructions after discussing police matters and solutions.
Home Minister felicitates police officials including Jaydipsinh Jadeja, Amita Vanani, and others for their commendable service during the Corona period and a crackdown on fake Ramdesivir, fake sanitizer, black market of oxygen cylinders, and successful crackdowns on chain snatching gangs, foreign gangs involved in cybercrime, bringing back international drug mafia and others.
As per the suggestion of the Narmada Development Minister, he has requested Mayor Keyur Rokadia to start an Urban Health Center at the Lalbagh SRP camp for police families and at the Pratapnagar Police Headquarters.
The Home Minister lauded the performance of the team Vadodara Police in various fields by giving examples. He said that Team Vadodara Police has done an excellent job in the state in helping women, children, and elders in sensitive projects like Good Touch Bad Touch, investigation of Freedom of Religion Act 2003 cases, action against land grabbers, and exposing cyber crimes.
