Slogans are been raised by the organizers of the Vadodara Loudspeaker and Lighting Association. This is due to the order regarding the ban on playing loudspeakers during the Uttarayan festival. They have demanded to do their business by gathering at the Mahatma Gandhinagar Gruh.
To curb the spread of the Coronavirus the government had imposed a lockdown in the country. This affected all trades and businesses as it came to a standstill. Later the government allowed it to unlock in a phased manner with strict guidelines. As per Corona guidelines, instructions were given to conduct weddings and religious festivals. Due to this serious financial problems have been caused to the DJ sound system and light operators during the seasonal business. The people involved in all these businesses are having difficulty in repaying the large loans taken by them.
The Commissioner of Police on Saturday announced to shut down the DJ system in the Uttarayan festival, the DJ Sound System and Light Operators staged a protest at Gandhinagar Gruh against this. They demanded that they be allowed to do business. Also, in this regard, an application has also been submitted by them to the Police Commissioner.
