Unhappy with the inclusion of seven villages in Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC), villagers of Undera staged a protest against the administration with posters and slogans against the decision. Police foiled the effigy burning programme and also detailed several protestors.
In the light of the recent decision taken by the Gujarat Government to include seven villages around Vadodara in VMC, villagers strongly opposed the step and raised a protest.
They said earlier the villages included in the VMC jurisdiction lacked basic amenities and now they have included seven more villages. They also tried to burn the effigy but police foiled the attempt and detained several protestors from the spot.
