PU’s College of Agriculture as “The Most Emerging Agriculture Institute”

State’s first Private Agriculture Institutions, Parul University’s College of Agriculture was recently awarded as the Most Emerging Agriculture Institute during the recently held Edufuture Awards. Zee Digital annually hosts this prominent awarding ceremony in recognition of excellence in the field of academics. The awards were organized to recognize some of the top institutions in the country who have made an exemplary display of excellence in their academic endeavors. Parul University was amongst the selected Universities due to the strides of excellence that the faculties and students have made across numerous disciplines, particularly in Agriculture.

The title for Most Emerging Agriculture College was granted to Parul University upon the adjudication of renowned personalities such as Kamini Prasad (CEO and Director, Mind Leaders Learning India Pvt Ltd), Dr Vishwapati Trivedi, IAS (Retd.), Ms. Pooja Kapur, Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Denmark, Prof. Debashis Chatterjee, Director, IIM Kozhikode, Dr. Harish Chaudhary, Professor, IIT Delhi, and Partho Ghosh, Indian Film Director. This multi-sectoral panel of juries conducted the quality checks concerning the institution’s level of quality, excellence, and innovation in academics.

To commence the award ceremony were the remarks of the Union Education Minister, Mr. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank, along with an engagement session with the AICTE Chairman, Prof. Anil Sahasrabudhe. The present dignitaries placed emphasis on the need to encourage the pursuit of quality education amongst the nations’ prominent public and private institutions. It is the same level of quality that Parul University has been committed to offering its students by ensuring a high standard of teaching and evaluation practices. Even throughout the pandemic, the University managed to develop innovative ways of assessing and evaluating its agriculture students, while at the same time ensuring an adequate provision of practical hands-on training. Beyond the scope of its academics, the University has been catering for the future of its students by extensively facilitating platforms for careers in the public and private agricultural sectors.

Our commitment has always been to provide quality academic exposure to those who will become the future of India, and to the students who will serve in the field of Agriculture. We have designed our agriculture education in a solution-based model which ensures that our students will continue finding relevant ways to solve the real-time challenges of farmers and to boost the agro-economy.” said the University’s President, Dr. Devanshu J Patel.
