Ratri Bazaar inspected by FSSAI

Vadodara’s Ratri Bazaar was inspected by the auditors under the aegis of the Food and Drugs Control Authority (FDCA) officials under the Clean Street Food Hub initiative by FSSAI on 20 November. The audit was conducted successfully with the support of Vadodara Municipal Corporation and Gujarat FDCA.
If this food hub is cleared by inspectors, it will be certified FSSAI-approved Clean Street Food Hub. The step is taken to check for clean kitchens, dustbins, dedicated cleaning staff and proper usage of quality raw materials.
More than 80 participants participated in the checking drive including street food vendors.
As per Food Safety Commissioner of Gujarat, Dr Hemant Koshia has said that most of the food hubs already have the basic infrastructure and hygienic conditions. He added, his team will be working to set up 10 more such food hubs as clean street food clusters in Gujarat.
The inspection drive was also conducted at Ahmedabad’s Urban Chowk, Food Junction, Kankaria Lake and at Surat’s Gopi Talav.
