Rejuvenating Wellness: Arogya Van Ayurveda Wellness Centre at the Statue of Unity

In a momentous development, the Ayurvedic Wellness Centre at the Statue of Unity in Ekta Nagar has been reinvigorated, reaffirming its dedication to fostering holistic health and well-being. Nestled within the expansive Arogya Van, the centre embodies the time-honored principles of Ayurveda, offering visitors a multifaceted approach to overall wellness.

Arogya Van serves as an educational beacon, highlighting the pivotal role of plants in human well-being. It also advocates the practice of Yoga, Ayurveda, and Meditation for holistic health.

At the entrance of Arogya Van, life-sized sculptures depict the 12 postures of Surya Namaskar, emphasizing the significance of daily yoga practice. An interactive information center welcomes guests, providing insights into the heritage and the importance of medicinal plants in our daily lives.

The re-launch event witnessed the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Dr. Ram Ratan Nala (Director – Jungle Safari), Shri Agneeshwar Vyas (Deputy Conservator of Forest), Shri Gopal Bamaniya (Additional Collector – SoUADTGA), Shri Darshak Vithlani (Deputy Collector – SoUADTGA), Shri Abhishek Sinha (Deputy Collector – SoUADTGA), and Shri Hrishikesh Dave (Account Officer – SoUADTGA).

In collaboration with the Gujarat Forest Department, the Ayurveda Wellness Centre has been re-inaugurated by the All India Institute of Ayurveda under the visionary leadership of Director, Prof Dr Tanuja Manoj Nesari. The dedicated team at the Centre comprises Dr. Anandaraman PV (Medical Superintendent), Dr. Prasanth Dharmarajan (Assistant Professor), and Dr. Pooja Rani MD (Panchakarma), currently serving as a Medical Officer.

The Ayurveda wellness centre offers Comprehensive Ayurvedic Personalized Wellness Plans, Expert Ayurveda Doctors, Outpatient Department (OPD), Diet and Lifestyle Guidance, Yoga and Meditation Integration, Herbal Medicine Dispensary, Promoting Awareness and Empowerment, Stress Reduction, and Cultural Enrichment—all converging to provide a holistic wellness experience.

Situated within the lush expanse of Arogya Van in Ekta Nagar, the Ayurveda Wellness Centre sprawls over 17 acres and stands as a living testament to the profound role of medicinal plants in human well-being.
