With the instructions of Vadodara District Magistrate, Shalini Agarwal, Additional District Magistrate issued a notification amending the earlier relevant notifications under various applicable provisions of the Criminal Procedure Act, National Disaster Management Act, and Gujarat Epidemic Diseases Act in all rural areas of Vadodara district. They have instructed all the concerned departments, including the Superintendent of Police to implement the amended restrictions with immediate effect.
According to the revised notification, no more than 50 persons may be present at weddings held in any open or closed space in the rural areas of the district with immediate effect. Gatherings, public celebrations, including political, religious, social events, receptions, birthdays, and public gatherings for the festivals in April and May are not allowed. Festivals should be celebrated at home with the family. 50 percent of staff will be allowed in government, semi-government, board and corporation, and all types of private offices except for essential services.
The declaration appeals to keep all religious places in the district closed for the public till April 30, 2021. The concerned have been advised to perform daily worship at such places with a limited number of people and devotees are requested not to visit religious places for direct darshan.
In this regard, other instructions given earlier by various declarations will remain in force.
Citizens are advised to strictly follow other guidelines and precautions regarding covid.
This declaration is effective immediately till April 30, 2021, and its violation will be subject to legal action under the relevant laws.
