Savli teacher chosen for the best teacher in BRC Cadre Award

Every year the state government selects hardworking gurus as the best teachers in various categories and honors them on 5th September as a tribute to Lt. S. Radhakrishnan, the former President of India.

This year from Vadodara district, a CRC Coordinator in Bhadarva Cluster of Savli Taluka, Mukesh Sharma has been selected in the list of best teachers of the state. He has been selected in the BRC Cadre for his award and he is the first teacher of Gujarat and Vadodara district of the year 2020, who has been selected in this category.

Mukesh Sharma has been selected for the award in recognition of his passion for the Pragya approach, Gunotsav, Girls education, and school enrollment as well as the implementation of the approaches and programs of the State Government to broaden the horizons and enhance the quality of education. The first Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya of Vadodara district had started in Desar taluka to maintain the continuity of girl’s education. And Sharma has made significant contributions in various activities including the nomination of the school. He has been working in the field of primary education for 27 years following the motto – Karma hi Dharma. He has also performed his duties in natural calamities, had shown dedication during elections at different levels assigned by the government.

As a trainer, over the last 9 years, he has mentored more than 1200 teachers in the areas of enhancing the quality of education, creating a proper educational environment in schools, connecting people to schools and providing various facilities in schools through community collaboration, making language education effective.

He has also represented Gujarat by participating in various seminars held at National Level, which were organized in New Delhi and Bhopal and has served as a Master Trainer.

Sharma also works as a Corona Warrior has provided coordination and training services in the district COVID Army of Teachers formed under the inspiration of the Education Secretary. He has made significant contributions in the areas of reading, writing, arithmetic skills, Mission Vidya, implementation of Card Method, RTE, mentoring teachers through useful journals including Shikshak Jyoti.

He was earlier selected as the BRC Co-Coordinator of the Best Teacher Cadre at the District Level in 2015 and in 2017 for the National Conference on Innovation.

He has worked with the goals of the holistic development of the students. He thanked the District Collector, District Development Officer, District Primary Education Officer, Education Committee Officials and students, their parents, villagers, fellow teachers for their immense support.
