Multi-faceted welfare schemes have been implemented by The National Defence Force for the rehabilitation of the families of the veterans. It is for the ones who laid down their lives as well as for the rehabilitation of the soldiers discharged from the Armed Forces due to physical injuries in war and military operations and for the welfare of their families. For the Armed Forces Flag Day, the funds are been raised for the implementation of these schemes. Every year on 9th December, the commencement of a formal fundraising program is been done.
Since 1949, every year Armed Forces Flag Day has been celebrated on December 7. The money raised in the Armed Forces Flag Day fund is used for the welfare of ex-servicemen and their families.
Shalini Agarwal, Collector and President of District Soldier Welfare at Collectorate Vadodara and Additional District Magistrate D.R. Patel presented the symbol of Armed Forces Flag Day to the District Soldier Welfare and Rehabilitation Office, Vadodara. District Soldier Welfare and Rehabilitation Officer Raghav, District Soldier Welfare and Rehabilitation Officer Gayatri, and Narasimha Damor were also present there.
It is requested that every citizen shall participate in this fundraising for the soldiers and their families and make a reasonable contribution to the fund for the soldiers who are defending the nation.
District Collector Shalini Agarwal has requested all the citizens of the district to participate in the noble work of national service by making due contribution to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund.
