Shop owner arrested for touching a 12-year-old girl ‘inappropriately’

A 47-year-old man was arrested yesterday for touching a 12-year-old girl inappropriately at his shop. Girl’s father lodged a complaint against the accused, Lalji Rathod who was then nabbed by the police. She had gone to Shakti Computers in Nizampura for taking printouts where Lalji tried to touch her indecently when there was no one in the shop.
She hurried from there immediately and narrated the incident to her parents, following which her father who owns a gym rushed to the shop. Upon reaching there, the shop was closed. He enquired about accused’s name and later informed the Fatehganj Police Station to register the complaint.
It was later declared that he had a wife and two children.
