After Gotri GMERS, SSG was declared as a dedicated COVID hospital. There were several complaints on all the levels regarding medical and management lapse. Recently appointed administrator Ashok Patel along with Advisor Dr. Minoo Patel visited SSG Hospital daily and conducted meetings with all Departments and Agencies concerned.
Today they submitted a Factual Report to O.S.D Dr. Vinod Rao giving details of dereliction of duties and serious supervisory lapses on the part of Medical Superintendent.
Based on it Dr. Rao issued a Show Cause notice to Dr. Rajeev Deveshwar, Medical Superintendent of SSG Hospital seeking his reply in 7 days why action should not be initiated against him under The Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897. (A ‘show cause letter’ is provided by an employer to an employee in the course of a disciplinary process. It asks the employee to provide an explanation (or ‘show cause’) why they should not face disciplinary action issue)
Dr. Rao said, “After following the due process of law, appropriate action will be strictly taken based on the explanation received from him.”
