Silent Satyagrah bt Vadodara Congress demanding UP CM’s resignation

The brutal gangrape and murder of a young girl in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, shocked everyone all across the country. There is a huge outcry among the people against the Government and the Central Government. Everyone is demanding justice for the victim and various political parties, including the Congress, as well as social organizations, are seeking justice for the Hathras incident with different programs.

A “Silent Satyagrah” program was organized by the Vadodara City Congress on Monday at the Collectorate demanding the resignation of Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. The event was attended by a large number of leaders and activists including City Congress President Prashant Patel, Leader of Opposition Chandrakant Srivastava, Nilesh Brahmbhatt (Jago Brahmbhatt), Narendra Rawat, Ami Rawat, City Congress Spokesperson Amit Gotikar, Shweta Mehta, and Congress Councilors. Activists arrived in large numbers with banners and posters and demanded justice for the victim.

City Congress President Prashant Patel and Opposition leader Chandrakant Srivastava said the Hathras incident is the most embarrassing incident for the country. The demands for justice for Hathras’ daughter have risen across the country and Vadodara City Congress is also seeking justice for the victim with various programs. On Monday “Silent Satyagrah” was held and they demanded the resignation of the Chief Minister of UP, Yogi Adityanath.

All leaders and supporters came wearing masks to follow the guidelines of COVID 19, but they failed to maintain social distancing during the program. It may be noted here that the City Police Commissioner has implemented section-144 to prevent such events as meetings, processions, and demonstrations. Strict police were deployed in view of the Congress “Silent Satyagrah” program, but no action was taken by the police.
