Slow rise of Covid cases in the city between Omicron reports

Vadodara: While Omicron is the new buzz, Covid-19 cases are on a steady rise in the city, while the number stays below 10, citizens are requested to maintain pandemic protocols. 

Savad, Jatelpur, Harni, Gotri, Danteshwar, and Undera are among the new places where cases have been documented.

  • The total number of cases in the city add up to 72,365
  • 100% population has attained the first dose of vaccination
  • 11,30,289 individuals have received the vaccine in the city
  • 11 patients discharged 

All eligible people in rural regions of the Vadodara district have received the first dose of the Corona vaccine, and those who are eligible for the second dosage after 84 days. The district health system in the Vadodara district intended to administer Covid vaccination to citizens under the supervision of the District Collector and District Development Officer.  

Dr. Surendra Jain, Chief District Health Officer, estimated that 11,29,768 persons will need to get vaccinated in the first dosage. A total of 11,30,289 people have received immunization. As a result, the district health system has achieved its goal of vaccinating 100% of the population by the first dosage.

Dr. Jain claims that the second dose is 94 percent complete. The health system, on the other hand, contacts individuals receiving a second dose through phone reminders. The district of Vadodara is on the verge of becoming entirely vaccinated, adds Dr. Jain. 

The total number of patients who have recovered has surpassed 71,693. Vadodara has received 200 tourists from high-risk countries in the last four days. For the next seven days, everyone has been quarantined.
