The speed-gun equipped Vadodara Traffic Police issued a notice in public interest about adhering to speed limits across the city on 10th Aug’19. It has almost been a month since then and around 273 offenders were fined for over-speeding in the city at different locations including Harni Airport Road, Sardar Estate, Chaani Toll Naka, Dandiya Bazaar-Akota road, Diwalipura cross roads to New Court road, Manjalpur-Vishwamitri Road, OP Road, Amitnagar to Manek Park, Fertilizer, Ajwa Road, Dabhoi Road, and Raneshwar to Tandalja road.
Approximately Rs 1.09 lakh of fine has been collected in total.
The speed limit for the vehicles is 50 km/h for LMV and 40 km/h for heavy vehicles.
