C.R. Patil, Gujarat BJP President, publicly urged the Mayor of Vadodara to call a halt to meetings and address the issue of stray cattle rearing and beggars. C.R.Patil, the Gujarat BJP President, addressed the Vadodara Mayor in public, urging him to call a halt to meetings and address the issue of stray animals and beggars. He used Surat as an example, asking Vadodara Mayor Keyur Rokadia to establish constructive plans for a cattle- and beggar-free Vadodara.
On Monday, Patil arrived in the city for the Global Patidar Business Summit 2022 promotional event; he took the stage to speak about the issues of livestock encroachment as well as beggars roaming the streets. He also gave Vadodara Mayor Keyur Rokadia a pinch and told him to take it seriously.
“Lots of incidents came to light involving cattle on roads and sometimes fatal for people. Surat became the first cattle-free city where we caught 460 cattle and sent them to Panjrapole. About 1,100 beggars were sent to beggar homes after making arrangements for food. I urge Vadodara Mayor to stop meetings and do work in this area. He is young and expected to work speedily. So instead of attending meetings, create the environment of cattle and beggars free Vadodara”, said Patil.
However, Vadodara has seized 650 or more cattle throughout the state in the last 15 days, according to Keyur Rokadia. About 500 of them have been sent to Panjrapole. “We’ll do everything we can to resolve the problem as quickly as possible. The cattle-catching campaign will go on until VMSS is assigned alternate locations and cattle hostels. After meeting with the police commissioner and the municipal commissioner, we will construct a plan, and a strategy will be released in a few days.”
