Story of Imran Shaikh: Cricket to Moong Daal

Cricket to food is his journey.

Not everyone is lucky to be born physically abled. Imran Shaikh is deaf and mute. But that never deterred his spirits. Crossing all obstacles in life, this young boy with a strong will and focus to achieve his dreams, captained the Indian Deaf Cricket Team in the past. Also, he brought laurels to the country as the team stood 1st runners up at World Cup and 2nd runners up at Asia Cup.
If only life were a cake walk. Unfortunately, the game failed to earn him much, and hence, he started a moong chaat stall on Old Padta Road. It stands opposite Tansha Residency, and the chaat is lip smacking. Also, available at very low rates with all care taken about hygiene. His sole purpose to venture this was to live independently and with dignity. If not for anything, then for this boy’s spirit towards life should make you visit his stall once.
