Today after a joint meeting between Dr. Vinod Rao, Municipal Commissioner Nalin Upadhaya, Police Commissioner Anupamsinh Ghelot, and Joint CP Kesari Bhati it was decided to declare Tandalja area as a Red-Zone area after it came into light that around 7 positive COVID-19 cases of Nagarwada visited a hospital in Tandalja and interacted with locals.
Around 900 homes with a population of 7000 will be in a complete lockdown beginning with an immediate effect. There will be a total restriction on the in and out movement in the red zone area.
There are a total of 7 positive cases from Nagarwada area, out of which 5 were reported in a single day. Tandalja is the second cluster to be declared as a red zone area in Vadodara after Nagarwada.
In Vadodara, total of 18 positive COVID-19 cases are reported, out of which six patients are discharged.
As of today, there were 186 cases of COVID19 reported in Gujarat with the highest number still being in Ahmedabad.
The death toll reached 16 with the patient in Vadodara & the youngest victim of coronavirus at 14 months dying in Jamnagar.
