Tarang – The Band, a Vadodara based band has a popular fanbase since its inception 3 years ago in 2016.
But this band is unique — other than performing at regular shows, the band also conducts a very special performance once a month – it conducts small scale shows for people living in old age homes and orphanages without any cost.
Last month, they performed at an old age home in Gotri. Rishabh Doshi, who started the band with 6 other people, all in the age group of 19 to 22, had thought about doing these special performances for people in old age homes and orphanages for free from its start in 2016.
He says, “I thought about doing these performances when we formed the band three years ago and we have been doing such performances at these places once a month ever since. All the band members love performing at these shows because the audience really appreciates them. We play a mix of old and new songs for people in old age homes. What’s fascinating is that they will ask us to play more new songs, because they still love music and are aware of new good songs that are out.”
The band doesn’t charge for these concerts and sets up their equipment and wherever they can.
