Total Rs 52 crore fine collected in last 4 months for mask rule violation

Out of the total Rs 52 crore, Rs 7-8 crore was collected in Ahmedabad and Rs 2 crore in Surat

Ever since the lockdown was announced in India in March, wearing a mask is made compulsory since then. However, the shocking numbers reveal that inspite of increasing fine from Rs 200 to Rs500 to Rs1000, people are still flouting the guidelines. Due to which the situation is such that in just four months, Gujarat Police has collected fines of Rs 52 crore 35 lakh 61 thousand 800 from 17 lakh 25 thousand 877 people.
