Two children have been released from the Jain Kachoriwala shop, Nava Bazar Road in Vadodara city by the Office of the Labour Commissioner. A complaint has been filed with the city police against the shop owner for child labor and economic exploitation. Police have initiated legal action against two persons in the matter.
R.S. Gamit Labor Officer at the Office of the Deputy Labour Commissioner at Narmada Bhavan and his team went to check hotels, shops, and other commercial establishments and areas. During the drive, two children were found working in a shop of Jain Kachori Wala on Nava Bazar Road near Rokadnath police station. During the interrogation, it was found out that both the children were aged 13 and 16 and residents of Uttar Pradesh.
The team took legal action against shop owners Madhuben Dineshchandra Prajapati and Mangilal Hakimsinh Kushwaha for keeping the child laborers for cleaning, cooking, picking vegetables in the shop. Both the boys were sent to the Bal Gokulam home in Bhutdizampa.
