Two wanted drug dealers caught from UP

Two drug dealers from Uttar Pradesh have been nabbed and brought to the city by the special operations group (SOG). The accused duo consists of 40-year-old Virendra Singh Jadhav and 27-year-old Kushwaha who have been wanted for two different cases of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances for few months. As per police, they may have been involved in other drug cases as well. They are now booked for their unlawful activity at Sayajigunj police station and Panigate police station.

In January, the cops had arrested three members of a Pathak family for selling drugs to college students of the city, in which they revealed the names of Virendra and Rohit, following which cops started to search for them. Naina Pathak, Samarth Pathak and Monali Pathak are residents of Atladara who were held for possessing pentazocine injections. Police said that Naina used to visit Uttar Pradesh’s Farooqabad to buy Fortwin injections for Rs 70 or Rs 75 from a lady called Mami. She later sold them to customers here for Rs 100 to Rs 150.

The family earlier used to sell from their home but later the son and daughter-in-law started delivering injections to customers near a canal in Atladara.

Also, in April, two drug dealers Mohammed Sindhi and Raes Sheikh were caught for possessing over 1000 pentazocine injections. They too knew the names of Jadhav, Kushwaha and a woman identified as Mami.

Police are yet to nab Mami.
