Vacay Time: Have a Safe-tainable Journey

We all like to visit a place where nature is at its best, away from the city bustle and city lights, we all wish that we could have a superb and chilling vacation. But when we visit a place, we find people trashing that natural beauty. For example, we will find more plastic waste dumped by tourists so much more than snow, for which we actually went there.

We all are super excited to go out and enjoy this elongated vacation, post-Diwali, after two years of the pandemic. But before you head for your vacation, here are a few options which you can consider to have a sustainable and environment-friendly vacation.

  1. Metal straws

Yep, we all are now conscious post-covid that sanitizer has become essential for us, we do not touch surfaces just to catch any type of infection. To avoid, such infections and to keep it eco-friendly, try using metal washable straws. Imagine, on a beach, clicking sun-kissed photos, chilling with a sipping coconut, use a metal straw.

2. Soap and shampoo bars

When shopping for soap or shampoo for your trip, avoid the usual liquid soaps that come in miniature plastic bottles. Get your own bar soap and shampoo, which is easier to carry and lasts longer (and often comes in biodegradable packaging).

3. Cloth napkin

This item makes it onto the list of must-have items due to its numerous applications. Instead of relying on single-use paper napkins made from trees, you can use a cloth napkin. This way, you can easily clean food spills without harming the environment or creating more waste.

4. Reusable shopping bags

Until recently, most people relied on plastic bags offered by stores when shopping. However, you can now find several different types of reusable shopping bags that are easy to clean and store.
