“Vadodara’s cultural and historical treasures take center stage as Minister Shri Mulubhai Bera participates in Tourism Seminar”
Vadodara, a city steeped in culture and history, is taking significant steps towards becoming a world-class tourism destination. Tourism Minister Shri Mulubhai Bera led a ‘Seminar on Tourism’ organized by Team Vadodara, where the focus was on enhancing the city’s cultural heritage.
Accompanying Minister Mulu Bera was MLA Balakrishna Shukla, Chief Constable of the Legislative Assembly, underscoring the importance of the event.
The seminar addressed key questions about how to develop Vadodara’s tourism potential. Minister Mulu Bera applauded the Vadodara team for their visionary approach, acknowledging that while Gujarat has been making strides in the tourism sector, Vadodara is also making invaluable contributions. He commended the depth of discussions that took place during the day’s sessions.
Mulu Bera stressed the significance of the seminar as the first step in developing Vadodara’s tourism sector. He pledged the full support of the state government in maximizing tourism and cultural development in Vadodara.
The Minister emphasized Vadodara’s rich cultural and artistic heritage, highlighting the city’s glorious history. He expressed confidence that through careful planning and execution, Vadodara’s cultural heritage would be showcased to the world. Minister Mulu Bera reassured that the Department of Tourism and Culture is committed to providing maximum facilities to tourists passing through Vadodara en route to Ektanagar.
Vadodara boasts numerous religious and heritage sites, with significant potential for sports tourism. Minister Mulu Bera commended Team Vadodara’s collective effort in making Vadodara a world-class tourism destination and reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to implementing substantial projects for the benefit of tourists.
During the seminar, the Minister unveiled ‘The Baroda Collective (Stage-2)’ book, further emphasizing the city’s cultural and historical significance. Mayor Nilesh Rathod welcomed participants and conveyed the experts’ recommendations for tourism sector development. Vadodara Municipal Corporation Commissioner Dilip Rana provided comprehensive insights into short and long-term plans for enhancing Vadodara’s historical and cultural heritage. Chirag Barot, Vadodara Municipality, expressed gratitude for the program’s success.
As the event concluded, Minister Mulu Bera unveiled the ‘Vadodara City Heritage’ plaque at Mandvi Chowk, a symbolic gesture of the city’s commitment to preserving its rich heritage.
The seminar was attended by dignitaries including Samarjitsinh Gaekwad of the royal family, MLA Yogesh Patel and MLA Manisha Vakil, Deputy Mayor Nanda Joshi, as well as prominent citizens, councilors, and tourism sector experts.
