Vadodara airport has ranked fourth in a survey conducted by a private agency for the Airports Authority of India (AAI).
The survey took into account 51 airports and was carried out from July 2018 to December 2018.
Also, now Vadodara airport ranks at the second spot in the western region for customer satisfaction index (CSI).
All and in all, the airport has jumped from 11th to 4th rank since last year, and the airport registered a score of 4.78 out of a total of 5. The first three airports to beat Vadodara for the running are Raipur, Trichy, and Udaipur.
The survey was carried out based on 40 to 50 parameters which included amenities offered, cleanliness, and feedback from customers, airlines, and staff. Vadodara airport currently services 4000 people every day.
The new terminal was inaugurated by Narendra Modi in October 2016 and cost Rs 160 crores. The airport has the capacity to handle 500 domestic passengers and 250 international passengers per hour.
