So here’s yet another incidence of harrassment faced by a young girl from the city.. A girl , who refuses to be named ., but was certain with the proof ..narrated this incident. One of her male friends who she had a fallout with put up her picture as his whatsapp profile picture and put up a status saying ‘feel free to call and have fun with this girl, you can contact his agent who are in the background picture’ …summing up..he practically made her look like a slut merely due to some problem with her. The girl was brave enough to take screenshots of this guys profile and went to the police station for complaint..the police called up this guy and his family and was taken to task..on further apologies by the guy’s parents the girl agreed to not file an FIR. The incident must seem to be a small case but it speaks volumes about how the male counterparts still take women to be an easy target who can be exploited. ourvadodara.in hereby urges all the women to not stand any of the injustices done on the grounds of gender and report it straightaway to your parents or authorities. It is the only way to make the society realize that even a small act of eve teasing or harassment cannot be accepted and has to be stopped..finally, kudos to this girl for the kind of courage she has shown!
