With the increase in the number of cases, VMC will adopt “zoning, screening & sampling” strategy
Yesterday officer at special duty(OSD) Dr. Vinod Rao held a press conference in which he announced that Vadodara city is now divided into 4 zones: Red, Orange, Yellow, and Green as a part of strategic planning. Tandalja and Nagarwada area are already declared as a red zone and are completely sealed. The door to door screening of each and every person living in this area is being done to ensure that any person who came in contact with the positive detected coronavirus patient can be reported.
The strategic division of the city in four-zone is then on the basis of the health assessment and the proximity of the area where maximum cases are reported without any travel history of patient. The orange zone are the areas nearby to the red zone which has more chances of having contact with the positive Cortana patient will have an extensive mass sampling. Vadodara Police will have daily surveillance done by CCTV cameras.
Yellow is the zone identified for congested spaces in which people will not be allowed to move out of their area. All other areas except these are Green zones where people are asked for self-surveillance and precautions.
“City command and Control Center is declared as a ‘war room’ where extensive surveillance will be done through CCTV cameras network to catch hold on people violating the lockdown notification. The task force will be formed to combat the situation in which health experts, private doctors, retired doctors, and government doctors will be part of it to give guidance to VMC.” Said Dr. Vinod Rao
Orange Zone:
Bawan chaal, Mughal Vaada Yakutpura, Bahaar colony, Dudhwalo Mohalla, Navapur, Memon colony, Tandalja Gaam, Kali talavdi
Yellow Zone:
Fatehpura, Kishanwadi, Ekta Nagar, Ramdev Nagar, soma talav, adarsh Nagar tarsal, anupumnagar, Zavernagar, Dhadharetiya Kumbharwada, Navayard
Currently there are 59 total positive COVID19 cases reported in Vadodara district. VMC, Vadodara City Police and District Collector are working in coordination. 745 total samples are collected out of which 604 samples are negative and 47 are positive. Reports of 92 samples are still awaited.
We should have a total lockdown to contain this virus. No excuses should be given
Public and private transport in and out as well as within Vadodara should not be allowed
Strict enforcement for public who break the lockdown
Let’s stay home and stay safe as we are much better then other countries but not to be complacent at any time now please
God bless us all
