Multi-faceted welfare schemes have been implemented by The National Defence Force for the rehabilitation of the families of the veterans. It is for the ones who laid down their lives as well as for the rehabilitation of the soldiers discharged from the Armed Forces due to physical injuries in war and military operations and for the welfare of their families. For the Armed Forces Flag Day, the funds are been raised for the implementation of these schemes. Every year on 9th December, the commencement of a formal fundraising program is been done.
Since 1949, every year Armed Forces Flag Day has been celebrated on December 7. The money raised in the Armed Forces Flag Day fund is used for the welfare of ex-servicemen and their families.
On Monday 7th December 2020 at 11.30 am at Collectorate Vadodara, Shalini Agarwal, Collector and President of District Soldier Welfare will present the symbol of Armed Forces Flag Day to District Soldier Welfare and Rehabilitation Office Vadodara. An auspicious start is made to collect this contribution from the hands of the Collector. It is acceptable that citizens participate in this contribution to make a reasonable contribution to the fund for the soldiers who are defending the nation.
In this noble work for national service, the citizens are requested to participate by the District Collector to make their due contribution to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund.
